Historical Evolution

The intellectual lineage of the International Academy of Science and Engineering can be traced back to 1970 — the year when the global academic community first established the core program of ‘equal development of science and engineering,’ breaking the traditional pattern of engineering long being subordinate to basic science and laying the ideological foundation for the establishment of a global science and engineering honors system. In 1978, the International Academy of Science and Engineering was established, becoming one of the world’s earliest core institutions involved in constructing the science and engineering honors system.
Since its establishment, the International Academy of Science and Engineering has always adhered to the ‘equal emphasis on science and engineering’ concept established in 1970.

Reorganization and Upgrade

The year 2026 is a crucial turning point for the development of the International Academy of Science and Engineering. The International Euro-Asia Academy of Innovative Research was officially incorporated into the International Academy of Science and Engineering, allowing the two international academic platforms to integrate resources and streamline mechanisms, ushering in a new development phase.
The restructured International Academy of Science and Engineering has ushered in a new phase of development, inheriting the orthodox lineage of the global science and engineering honor system since 1978, while also integrating the accumulated experience of the International Eurasian Academy of Innovative Research in scientific and technological innovation and industrial application, forming a full-chain academic service capability of ‘basic science breakthroughs – key technology innovations – engineering technology translation – industrial ecosystem implementation.’
Looking to the future, the reorganized International Academy of Science and Engineering will inherit the academic ideals of the past half-century. On one hand, it will continue to participate in the formulation of global scientific and engineering academic standards and consolidate the authority of the international honor system; on the other hand, it will focus on global issues such as carbon neutrality, the digital economy, and public health, building cross-national and interdisciplinary collaboration platforms, promoting the faster application of cutting-edge research results for the benefit of the world, and contributing engineering wisdom and scientific solutions to address common human challenges.
